Pirene was founded in 2018, mainly as a health and safety venture, however, it seems now is the perfect time to blend my passion for design and expertise in health and safety to provide a unique service for my clients.

My specialism is wellbeing in the workplace and I combine my background in design and occupational health and safety to help your business achieve design excellence and health and safety compliance. I understand how poorly thought out work environments can impact an individual’s ability to focus, interact, and maintain personal balance though out the day. I design to support human function and connect space to nature resulting in environments where people feel comfortable, supported and are able to thrive.

I hold a BA in Interior Design and am a NEBSOH qualified Occupational Safety, Health and Wellbeing Consultant. I’ve had 11 years of experience in construction and design and have worked on a variety of residential and commercial schemes over the years, so I’m fully equipped to ease the pressures of providing a well-designed, compliant interior environments.

The philosophy that underpins my approach of combining design, wellbeing, and nature is Biophilia. I’m deeply inspired by biophilic design principles that encourage people to connect with the natural world. Growing up in rural Essex, surrounded by open fields, big skies and a variety of wildlife, has instilled in me a profound respect for nature and an understanding of how vital that connection is to the human spirit.
